This place here ... it’ll remain our secret!

The stoa – an adults-only guesthouse

Our aim is to run an establishment full of lightness that allows our guests plenty of scope, which is in keeping with today and where people experience a lot of good feelings.

A hotel is always a reflection of the people that run it. We are the Erlacher family and thoroughly enjoy being hosts and hostesses. We would like to share our happiness. We are always there for our guests and also understand very well that people want to enjoy privacy and freedom on holiday. We love the fact that what we have to offer is conducive to romance and that many good feelings flutter through our rooms.

Highlights of the stoa include modern furnishings and architecture, a sky spa constructed with a lot of attention to detail and a very nice and novel dinner buffet concept. What is even better, though, is the warm and friendly manner with which you are greeted as soon as you arrive in the building on your very first day. We felt incredibly comfortable here.

These are our values that we also put into practice.

Our principles: romance, lightness, modernity & self-determination

Light, modern romance – this is what we strive to create. To do so, we have some excellent tools at our disposal – the stoa lies at the heart of the sleepy mountain village of San Vigilio di Marebbe, the spa complex on the roof is known as 7th Heaven with good reason, and the culinary concept of Bed & Breakfast & Light Dinner ensures a light feeling that leads to genuine relaxation.

They are just sooo lovely!

Darling, now I know what “stoa” means!

Our history

From the very beginning the stoa has been open to modern ideas and always had an aptitude for creating a romantic atmosphere.

The most important room in every Tyrolean house was always the parlour, known as the “Stüa” in the Ladin language. Our parents wanted to offer their guests just this kind of cosy place for getting together, and so they called their restaurant “Stüa”. In 1990, in addition to the restaurant, they opened a hotel, which soon turned out to be a great passion. After a few years, the combination became a pure hotel business, and the often-misunderstood name, “Stüa” became the simpler Stoa. Always open to modern influences, we added ever more lightness to our establishment and consciously created a new sense of romance that is modern and uncomplicated. We look forward to being able to share many more years of light romance in future too.

VILLA TONY

We have another small but charming three-star hotel not far from San Vigilio – to be precise in the village of Corvara up towards the very end of the valley, in Alta Badia. Just like at the stoa, Villa Tony offers outstanding cuisine, a wellness area with sauna, simple, modern design and natural materials, plus the absolute splendour of the Dolomites. Rooms and suites, perfect as a haven for couples on a romantic holiday.

HOTEL GARNI ELISIR

A holiday directly on the Campolongo Pass, with the Sella Group as neighbours – being able to call a room or holiday apartment surrounded by nature your temporary home, just a few kilometres from Corvara and Arabba. Start the day with a delicious breakfast and round it off in the wellness area. In winter, the Dolomiti Super Ski resort is within reach, which connects Arabba, Alta Badia and Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi together. In summer you can, of course, swap your skis for a bike or hiking boots.
